BEST WAY TO LEARN HOW TO CREATE MACRO?

I'm not an expert in Excel but have a lot of experience with
implementation of software code to create custom procedures (via my
accounting software). I'd like to learn how to create macros in Excel
- anyone know the best way to accomplish this? Any self-helps or
online courses out there that are the best? For example, I'm running
Excel 2002 (2003 about to come) and need to know -- how do I create a
macro to automatically clear all non-formula / non-text cells on a
worksheet? i.e. any cells which have a manually
entered number I want to end up being either blank or zero. I've not
seen any built-in procedure for this. Thanks!

For simple operations that you can perform, you can record your actions
as a macro and then go back to see what was recorded, then modify as
needed.

For more complex actions, I find some of the online forums helpful. Try
http://www.mrexcel.com/ or http://www.ozgrid.com/

You can always use a web search like excel vba clear cells, or similar.
Good luck!
