Blank Document not blank

Not sure what I did, but I cannot clear to a blank
screen. A previous document continually shows up. Have
tried new blank document icons and they as well show up
with previous document.
Help!

Did you perhaps save a workbook as a Template(*.xlt) and store it in your
XLSTART folder?

This would be the default new workbook.

Close Excel.

Do a Start>Run>Search>Files and Folders and look for *.xlt and see what comes
up.

If you find a Book.xlt in your XLSTART folder, move it to another folder and
try again in Excel.
