Office blocked many important files that were e-mailed to me and are
important to my children. Where are they-they can't be replaced!!!.

Assuming that you are running Outlook 2000 (SP3) or newer, see
http://www.sliptick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm to learn how to unblock
certain file types by editing the registry. If you don't like editing the
registry, I highly recommend Ken Slovak's attachment addin that is mentioned
on this page.
