Booklet

Hi All,

I am trying to print a booklet for my bowling club for members to keep up
with all dates for 2009.

I have set this up under booklet but when I try to print I only get six
pages to print and I have 24 pages. It says that it sets up with four pages
but I cannot for the life of me work it out.

I am trying to print two copies one on top of the other on an A4 page.

6 sheets of paper IS 24 pages
are you viewing your booklet as two page spread? View | Two Page Spread
first sheet will have pages 1, 2, 23, 24 it front/back.

You don't have to work out anything, Publisher will do it for you.
Set up the page size first.

Not sure if you can do 2-up or not.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I still only get six pages when I print. I get
front and back as well as two others as a booklet ok but the other pages
will not show in the printer preview or they will not print. Not sure what I
am doing.

This is a Publisher 2007 bug that will be fixed in the next service pack. Your
only workaround would be to cut the sheets in half first and create a custom
size (A5) in your printer. It will print all 24 pages when you setup the booklet
this way.

If you are using earlier versions the setup is straightforward. Select booklet,
Type 21cm height, 14.8cm width. Publisher will say it will print two pages per
sheet of paper.

ok.

when you open your booklet in Pub and you are viewing it in 2 page
spread...how many pages do you actually have? look on the bottom bar it will
show you page tabs...do you have 24 pages? If not add them - put something
on them (anything). Do they all print?

Do you mean 6 pages or 6 SHEETS of paper.

Booklet in Pub terms implies that you will print 2 pages on a sheet (and
another 2 on the other side of course.) and then fold and staple.
This means if you use A4 paper you will get an A5 booklet.

A correctly set up 24 page booklet takes 6 sheets of paper when printed.
It would print the front and back on one sheet and pages 2 and 23 on the
other side of the same sheet. then 3 and 22 on the next sheet with 4 and 21
on the other side etc.

Please include your OS and Pub version as some features have changed over
time.

Also when I click on the two page spread I only see page one on its own then
page 2 & 3 together and page 4 & 5 together and so on and page 24 on its
own.

front cover and rear cover will appear as single pages (otherwise you'd be
stuck in a loop :)
