borders on drawing objects

when i insert a rectangle or a text box only the top edge is visible. If i
insert an oval only the top half is visible. If i format the object and make
it semi-transparent i can then see the entire border. what is going on?

Hi, dwgeist. Try reducing or turning off hardware acceleration in Start |
Control Panel | Display | Advanced.
