cab file missing?

Pam

When I try to open a website within fp2003 - all of the sudden it says that
the documents in this folder are not available - if I try to do the repair
it can't do that because it says its missing CP561401.CAB file - I can
open the site
live , but not from localhost....can anyone help me figure out where the
file is? I've looked on my xppro disk, the fp2003 disk, the Office XP
update....where is it??

I've also reinstalled fp2003 from CD choosing detect and repair - it went
thru the whole thing - still can't open website from localhost (c drive -
inetepub) - I can open the website from my 'other' backup drive ... just not
the localdisk/INETPUB/WWWROOT ....

any help?

Since you can open your live website try publishing from the live website
back to the "broken" local web. It may ask you about deleting files because
one site or the other doesn't have them. This would be how you could
"synchronize" both websites. I am assuming your using the http publishing
facility rather than an FTP client.

Ok, I've opened the web live....and then clicked on remote website
properties to set up the web - I clicked on Frontpage/Sharepoint Services,
then clicked on Browse and choose 'localhost' but then I get the same error
message that says: "Documents in this folder are not available. The folder
may have been moved or deleted or network problems are preventing a
connection to the server".

However, when I view inetpub/wwwroot/ - all my folders are there as well as
files ect...

Now...if I choose C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\webname - and try to click on ok, it
won't do anything - I still have FP or SP services ticked. So if I untick
that option and choose File System, it allows me click ok but then when I
say publish local to remote - it says error message: The folder
"C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\webname\ is contained by a server-based Web site. To
access this site you must use the http://url for the Web server." ... HUH?

can you help me further please?

thanks
Pam
