Calendar changes and Publishing Calendar

Hi,

I have 2 questions:

1. I would like to change one of the days on my Calndar (I am using a
calendar I created) a working day to be a non working. How can I
change it to the Calendar that will affect all the resource that are
using this calendar.

2. How can I send this calendar to other planners in my company? (we
do not use server yet)

Thanks,
Hanni

Hello Hanni,

If you have set your resources' base calendars to the custom calendar
you have created, if you edit the custom calendar and add nonworking
time, the resources will automatically "inherit" that nonworking day as
well. To check the base calendar for each resource, display the
Resource Sheet and check the Base Calendar field. To edit the base
calendar:
1) choose Tools > Change Working Time
2)Select your custom calendar from the drop-down list.
3)Scroll to the appropriate month and select the date.
4)Click the Nonworking time option button.
5)Click OK to close the Change Working Time dialog box.

In order to share the custom calendar you have created with others,
you'll need to give them a copy of your project file. They can then
open your project, choose Tools > Organizer and copy the calendar from
your project to their global template (global.mpt). If they prefer,
they can open your project as well as one of their own and just copy the
calendar from your project to their open project using the Organizer.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
