We have several computers using Office 2000 and one using Office 2003. Can I
make Publisher 2003 automatically save in 2000 format?

That is highly inadvisable.

Opening a Publisher 2000 file in Publisher 2003 substantially degrades the
formatting of the document.

Re-saving in Publisher 2000 format will lose even more formatting.

This would make the machine running Publisher 2003 less than useless.

I recommend scouring eBay until you find a copy of Publisher 2000 that you
can install on this machine. Publisher 2000 will run alongside Office 2003
just fine. Either that, or upgrade the rest of the machines to Publisher
2003 (this is more expensive, but unless you're doing webdesign work,
probably better)

Publisher 2003 is a superior product to Publisher 2000 in all areas but
webdesign, IMO.
