Can I trackmy tasks from the finish to start of an event?

I am an event coordinator trying to use Project to track my 25 different
events and the 50 plus tasks for each event. Is there any way that I can
create the tasks and deadlines based on the EVENT DATE, so working backwards,
rather than working with the start date?

Well, you could do reverse scheduling but I'll warn you ahead of time,
it is not as intuitive as forward scheduling despite how attractive it
may seem. Nonetheless to set up your schedule in reverse, go to
Project/Project Information and set the "schedule from" to be the
project finish date.

Personally I find it much easier to use standard forward scheduling. You
can set deadlines for each milestone or event and have that deadline
display on the Gantt. That way it is easy to see if the logical sequence
of tasks for each event is on track. If not, you can focus your
attention on those tasks.
