Can I use Power Point on my 2 computers?

I installed Office on my desktop. I want to do a Power Point presentation
using my laptop, since I can't drag my desktop around. When I try to use
the laptop it says Power Point is already being used. Is there a way around
this? Can I produce it on my laptop and then use the PDF to copy it to a disk
that I use on the laptop? I'm new at this!

Have a look inside the EULA (the thing one always clicks OK when
installing). You are entitled to install Office one one desktop and one
Laptop computer, but not to use it on both at the same time.

So you have to quit Office (or rather to shut down, as there's the daemon
running continuously in the background) and the you can (or should be able
to) launch it on the other computer.

The Database Daemon only runs while an Office app is running. (At least,
that's the way it's always worked on my Macs.) If it continues after you
quit the app, you can kill it using Activity Monitor.

For some reason, I have never been prevented from running my MS Office
apps simultaneously on my desktop and laptop, although it's not
something I do regularly.
