Can not forward Word documents as before.

Previously, while in Word 2002, I could use the pull down menu for
'File' and chose 'Send' to an email recipeint. The Word document would
segway into an email message.
Now, I just get an error message indicating that 'Word could not load
the email envelope'.
Any suggestions ?
