Cannot open any Word documents.

I installed Word 2003 XP Professional - and ever since that dreadful day, I can't open any of my previously saved Word documents, and none of the new ones I create and save. In addition, every time I close Word, I am asked to save the file Normal. I removed all of the Normal.dot incidents on my HD, Word recreated the template, and keeps doing it over and over again. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling...NOTHING works...someone help please..

Sorry - I was at work when I typed my question, and mistook the Word version at work with the one at home. The Word I haver the problem with is MS Office XP - Word 2002...still...need help badly. Thank you.

It seems likely that you have an add-in that is conflicting - or worse still
a virus.
Check your system with an up to date virus checker - preferably an on-line
one, which is unlikely to be corrupted.
