Hi
This problem occurs for a client when they open a Visio file which is
attached to an e-mail:
They try to 'Save As' to save the attachment on to a network share but the
Save button does not change to Open when they click on subdirectories about
two levels down from the root of the network share. If they double-click on
the folder they want to go in to, the dialogue box doesn't show the sub-
folder (i.e. current location doesn't change). When they refresh the view
("F5") and select the folder, the Save button now changes to an Open
button, i.e. correct behaviour. However, they then cannot go into a sub-
directory of that location.
They *DO* have permissions to save in these locations.
They can see them from explorer.
The Open dialogue works perfectly.
Problem occurs on a new HP nx6110 laptop running Windows XP Pro SP2 with
all patches for Windows up to about a month ago, but needs an Outlook patch
and Visio 2002 SP2.
User has seen the problem in another application before (Office 2003), so I
think the Visio patch won't help. Not sure if the problem exists from a
simple New File -> Save As.
Any ideas???
Cheers,
Mike
