Cannot open office Word 2000

[abc]

Win 98
128mb ram
at first Word would not open up.
Get "low resources msg"
Get kernel errors
Re-installed Office 2000
Then tried to open Word, it looks like it tries to install
SR1 package update
Then the computer locks up.
Anyone have any ideas what is wrong??
