can't access attachments

Some of the attachnments I receive are grey rather than
black (on the name after I click on the paper clip) and
nothing happens when I click on them.

Can anyone help?

If you are running Outlook Express, select Tools | Options | Security tab
and uncheck the second box from the top concerning attachments.
