cant attach file or photo

Hello,
I'm running outlook 2003. I want to sent a new message, and attach a file ,
or photo etc. I'm not new to outlook, and I know how to attach files etc, but
for some reason outlook keeps crashing when I try to go to my folders . As
soon as I go to my document folder (Not my documents on C drive) but My
document folder on my D drive it just locks up. I have a folder just for
photos and it just crashes, the screen goes blank and it says about sending
an error report then after that it shuts down.
I dont think this is the course, but in my d drive I have changed some of
the icons of folders, but that shoutnt be a problem.
Are there any settings in outlook that can fix this?
I can attach these files or photos in yahoo mail or hotmail?
Any clues?

Try running a Detect and Repair on your Office installation. You can find
the command on the Help menu of any installed Office product. Make sure you
have your Office installation CD handy.
