Can't Find Publisher on CD

Which CD can't you find it on? If it's a Publisher CD, then it's
defective and you should contact Microsoft for a replacement. If it's an
Office CD, then it may not be the right disc (e.g. Office 2000 SBE, Pro
and Premium have Publisher on Disc 2), or it might not be the right
edition (Office Standard has never had Publisher, and Office XP Pro
didn't have it either in retail editions). If it's your Windows disc,
then no wonder; Windows doesn't come with Publisher.

A trial version of Publisher 2007 is available online (linked from
http://office.microsoft.com/publisher), but you have to pay to unlock it
to the full version.

Publisher is not included within all versions of Office (even though I wish
it was). You can't just download it. Which version/edition of Office do you
have?

Not all versions of Office XP had Publisher. Which edition? Small Business?
Professional? Student and Teacher? etc

It's professional.

Office XP Professional only included Publisher 2002 if you got it either
as an OEM edition (i.e. preinstalled on your PC) or as the special
edition that came with an IntelliMouse. The normal retail versions did
not include Publisher. I never got the special edition, so am not sure
whether Publisher came on a separate disc or not, but it seems highly
likely.
