Can't get Publisher to install on new computer

My old hard drive has crashed, and I'm trying to install Publisher on the new
computer. I keep getting messages telling me I must verify that I have
permissions to do this. I don't understand how to get this handled.

What version of Publisher are you trying to install?

Are you the System Administrator?

Install as the administrator.

If you turn off your virus software you may have success.

Yes, I am the owner of the computer, just purchased a week ago to replace the
one that crashed. I have so far installed Office, and that went okay. I
will try Mary's solution today, and see if that works. If not, I'll get back
to this forum to ask for more help.

Thank you, Mary! I had no idea how to turn off the anti-virus and spyware,
but had someone show me, and it worked!
