can't import .pst files

when I try to import my personal file folders from my
desktop to my laptop I get an error message that say's
Properties for this information service must be defined
prior to use. then it say's File access is denied. you
do not have permission to access the file.

What do I do?

Make sure the file isn't marked read-only. If it's on a CD, move it to
your hard drive and remove the read-only attribute.
