Can't run email merge

C

CFC.Richard

I have Win XP Home and Office XP Professional. I am trying to mail merge
(email) from a document to a .xls database. I have done this before on my
other computer using the same document and database. On this computer when I
hit Electronic Merge/merge to email/OK, it runs through the whole merge
process, very quickly, but nothing goes to Outlook.

I have no problems i.e. my regular email, IE 6, internet access, Word,
Excel, etc. I have run a Detect and Repair from both Help and from the CD.
Nothing works.

Any suggestions?

Thx,
Richard

What is the exact error message?

Also, you are inconsistent with your description of what you are trying
to do. You are trying to mail merge *from* a document to a spreadsheet?
This is unconventional. Normally, the mail merge is from a data
source (spreadsheet) to a document, or to email. Which is it you? And,
again, what is the exact error message? Are you using the wizards?

Rob,

Thanks for the response. To clarify: I am using Wizard. I have a document
and I merge the name, compay, etc. (from Excel), into the document. Up to
this point there is no problem. Again, at this point, on this computer, when
I hit "Electronic Merge"/"merge to email"/"OK," it runs through the whole
merge process, very quickly, but nothing goes to Outlook or is sent.
