Can't see cursor location in a table

Somehow the ability to see the cursor in a table has been turned off. I can
put the cursor and guess where it is and edit but it will not show me the
location. What do I need to do. This is only an issue in tables.

There are 5 columns that spread across two pages. I can't see the cursor in
the first page portion. It is also document specific. (I work mostly on
this one and just now tried another document that has a simular table spread
across 5 or 6 pages).

IIRC, it is a combination of having a table in multiple columns with Repeat
Table Headers enabled. Turning off any one of those three combinations makes
everything work again. However, I have not had the opportunity to test if
sp2 has resolved that issue.

Okay, it's a five-column table, but does the document itself involve
newspaper-style columns? I believe that that is the issue we've seen before
where the cursor can't be seen in the portion of the table on the first
page. According to a previous post, you should be able to edit the table in
Normal/Draft view. Also, if you temporarily disable "Header Rows Repeat,"
you can edit the table normally, then restore the heading rows.
