can't see enterprise resources

MikeB

I've created a Project plan in MS Project 2002 (included
a couple of tasks for myself), uploaded my resources in
the plan to the enterprise resource pool via the wizard.
And also "published" my plan to the project server. But
when I go to the webclient and click on Resources tab, my
project resources do not show (get the following msg:

There are no resources to display in this view.

You either do not have permissions to see any resources
in this view or there are currently no resources in the
Microsoft Project Server database. Contact your server
administrator.

Anyone run into this? I'm a newbie to this, but want to
make it work.
Thanks,
MikeB

Hi MikeB,

The first thing in such a situation is to check if you
have really enter the resource into the Pool.

If you are very sure that you have enter them into the
pool, contact your administrator. Ask him/her to change
your permission setting.

In order to change your setting:
1)Go to admin --> Manage Security.
2)Under categorie, choose the category you belong to and
ask him to modify "available resource" field.
3)Save the changes.

I have had the same problem. Microsoft found the solution
for me:

If you use a colon in the User Name e.g. Winnipeg, Winnie
then for some unknown bizarre Reason the Resources don´t
show on the web. Remove the colon and it works.
I couldn´t believe it why a free text field would have
such a restriction especially since it is usual to split
first and last name with a colon in Europe.
