Can't syncronize

I'm having a problem with a program called "truesync" that is supposed to syncronize a "startac clip-on organizer" to outlook. The only software that will work with this phone organizer is version 2.0 as the new software (3.1) is no longer compatable with this organizer. So 2.0 is compatable with up too outlook 2000. I installed all the software and everything and it doesn't recognize that outlook 2000 is installed. I had XP installed on my computer, but I had to downgrade it to 2000. I deleted all the .pst files so that I could restart with outlook 2000 pst files, but I don't know if I needed to do anything else , or if this would be a problem. Anyone have any ideas?
