Can't view pics imported into MSWordHelp please

Hi there,
Very frustrated with Vista, When I import a picture into a Word doc, I can't
see the pic, just a box where the visual should be. Totally frustrated and
would really, really appreciate a fix. Thanks all.

What version of Word?

In Word 2007, click on the Office button, then on Word Options, then on
Advance and scroll down to the "Show document content" section of the dialog
and uncheck the box against the "Show picture placeholders" item.

In earlier versions of Word there is a similar box under Tools>Options>[and
guessing from memory]View
