There are free PDF converters and there are paid-for PDF converters.

PrimoPDF is free. www.primodf.com

PDF-XChange is paid for, but not expensive (and as far as I am aware, may
produce better PDF for print tha PrimoPDF, which is more designed for the
casual user wishing to share documents over t'internet). www.docu-track.com

Adobe Acrobat is expensive, but is the Gold Standard of PDF software. Its
output is (again, as far as I am aware) preferred by printers. www.adobe.com

I wanted to throw in my 'two cents' along with all of the MVPs. :)

I use CutePDF at work. Its easy and I never have any problems with it at
all. Here is the link:

Good luck! I used to do newsletters for our school segment at work and it
helped tremendously to send it as a PDF file. I always included the link to
Adobe Acrobat in the email just incase someone didnt have the latest version
installed on their computer.
