Change paste options?

Chris

Hi,
I need to place a number of lines in a box. I create the first line then do
a copy/paste but the next and all subsequent lines are placed with an
offset. How can I control or change the paste location? For instance I
want the pasted lines to move an increment to the left but remain in the
same position as far as up/down orientation.
I hope I was clear enough in my explanation!!!!

It's always a good idea to include your Publisher version.

Anyway...you can left click/drag the lines to a new position.
Also...the selected line can be nudged with your arrow keys.

Do this, select the line, hold control, a + sign will appear, keeping control down,
copy the line as many times as necessary. (be sure to keep the + below the object.)

need to create numerous lines with equal spacing like graph paper. I
remember in Corel draw you could set the orientation of the pasted item thus
allowing you to have each subsequent copy placed a certain distance from the
last one.
I was hoping to find a similar control in publisher.
Thanks for the input.

I tried as you suggest but all that is happening is it is causing the
objects to group.
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but thanks for the suggestion.

Chris make as many lines as you need then use the Arrange option to space
the lines.

With Publisher 2003 that is a breeze.

I was able to accomplish basically what I wanted by using a grid fill and
making the color a light gray. I would prefer a larger grid pattern but it
