changed working time - task start/end date remained unchanged

Hello, I have changed the working time of a resource as off work and also
busy with business as usual task, however the start and end date of the tasks
have not changed to reflect the the resource unavailability for those tasks.
I suspect this is due to the fact that I am meant to first amend the working
times and subsequently to assign the resource accordingly, depending on their
availability. Is there a quick way to fix this?

Jackie,
You can change the working time in the resource calendar after you assigned
this resource. The task dates will move accordingly.
Haven't you any hard constraint on that task (such as Must Start On) ?

Sometimes, I have to close the project plan and re-open it to see the
changes take affect when I update the working time on a particular resource.
Try that.
