Changing machines

I bought a new primary PC and want to move my Office XP
to the new machine. Is there any way to facilitate the
activation process? I know I have to uninstall from the
old machine first, then I'll have to talk to MS to get a
code when I install on the new, but is there anything I
need to do as I unistall to convince them I really have
unistalled it so I can get a new key?
