Chart with many fields

Hi!

I want to make a chart using the chart wizard in Access 2003. When I´m about
to choose the fields for the chart, I´m only allowed to select up to 6
fields. The problem is that I want the chart to contain at least 7 fields!

What should I do?

You can either find a third party chart control that supports your
requirements, or you limit your fields to six.
If you go the 3rd party route, make sure the control verifyably works
with Access. Not all do. A 30-day trial would be essential.

Okey, so you there is no way I can fix this with the chart Access uses? I
don´t understand why there is a limit of just 6 fields?

There is not an actual limit of 6 fields. That's just what the (somewhat
useless) wizard limits you to. After the chart is created, open your
form/report in design view, select the chart and open the properties sheet.
Select the data tab and click the build (...) button at the right of the
Row Source line to open the charts query. You can then add more fields.

The wizard is OK for getting just the basic layout of a chart, but often
you need to make your own modifications to get an actual usable chart.

Thank you so much Mr Beetle:) That was very helpful and you saved me a lot of
time!
