Chechbox problem

DORI

I have designed a survey with checkboxes from control tool. I exit from the
"Design Mode" and then save the document as word document (office 2002). When
I open the document, it opens in "design mode" so people who are supposed to
put a check mark in the boxes, are not able to do so unless they exit from
the design mode first and then everything works fine. Not every one can
recognize this problem, so how can I save the document so that when it is
opened, it does not open in design mode?
Thanks for your help.

From a previous post:

If you need a dynamic (clickable) checkbox, there are a number of ways to
create and use clickable checkboxes in documents / templates. Some require
protected or locked forms, others do not. Take a look at the Checkbox
template available at
http://www.addbalance.com/word/download.htm#CheckboxAddIn for an exploration
of these. Some utilize code, others do not. Unless you have some other
reason for doing so, though, do _not_ use the checkbox from the Controls
Toolbox (an ActiveX control).

Don't use the checkbox or other controls from the controls toolbox.
