I have Office 97 installed and use Outlook as my e-mail
client. Starting a few days ago, whenever I would go to
the "check for new mail" for my internet e-mail account,
the "delivering messages" dialog box comes up and just
sits there as I watch the little envelop travel back and
forth. It will sit like that for as long as I let it
before I end the task. I can't think of anything that has
changed or been installed recently.
I attempted to uninstall/restart/reinstall but the same
thing happens. I also setup a quick account in outlook
express to retrieve my mail and it didn't have any problem
receiving the mail. I've also tried to install the
service release 1 for Office '97 but when it checks my
computer it tells me none of the products need updating.
This is off the fresh install too. Any tips, suggestions
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
