do you REALLY need a "template" for this? Just create a new Excel workbook,
head the columns with Name, address, Telephone number etc etc etc.
Not that difficult, is it?

I thought the same thing at first but it could be that they want to produce
a handbook and are looking for a template for that data. Unless the OP gives
us a bit more info, we'll never know.

the thing that worries me, is that there are all sorts of requests here for
"templates" for documents that with a little thought and experiment, people
could quite easily create for themselves. It seems there's no desire to
learn or to try things out for themselves anymore, they have to be
spoon-fed....

Hello,

I'm trying to do the same thing. I have attempted to mail merge an Excel
file data source, however, I only get one record per page. How do I get
several members ' information on one page prior to moving to the next page.
The merge works fine however, each record appears on a separate page. I have
attempted to do this merge in both Microsoft Word and Publisher. I get the
same results. What am I missing? I want multiple records on one page.

Thanks,
Yvonne

I'm using Publisher 2003. I've attempted to use the catalog merge. However,
even though the page shows that I will have 4 records down and 1 across, I
only get one record on the page. What am I missing? I don't think the
labels will work because I want the names and addresses presented in a
booklet format. Thanks.

The catalog merge does work for a directory, I have made many. Did you look at
the article link in the previous message?

The catalog block is there for you to put in your text boxes to hold your data.
The catalog merge is a booklet by default. For the merge to work properly you
can only have your data in one block.

Hi Mary,

Thank you for your help. I figured it out. I did review the article link.
However, I revisited the link and determined that I was not in the correct
mode to preview my complete file. I stopped at "preview" instead of
completing my merge. Once I completed my merge and created a new
publication, I was able to see multiple records on one page.

Thanks again for you help. I really appreciate it!

I hope I helped, Yvoanna, but it looks like you figured it all out by yourself.
Thanks for posting your success, it is appreciated.
