clearing recent webs list

How do I clear the list of recent webs please (on file
droplist)

You can't.

It can only be done by editing the registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\FrontPage
Explorer\Recent Web List

at the above location, and deleting the values named:
web1
web2
web 3

and so on. Do NOT remove the value named Default

How do I clear the list of recent webs please (on file
droplist)

I tried deleting them as detailed in "FrontPage For Dummies."

I deleted all my webs from 1 to 8 as instructed.

Then when I tried adding a new web, Frontpage started numbering with the
next highest number... Web 9.

I restored my deleted webs, and now instead of adding a new web, which just
keeps adding higher and higher web numbers, I edit my old webs.

I just started doing this, and have not had any problems so far.

Still would like to clean the old webs off my machine, but the thought of
editing the registry makes a chill run up and down my spine.
