Compatibility issues with Word 2000 and Word 2003??

I have a user here who created a document in Word 2000. I believe its a
brochue with clipart. They now have Word 2003 installed on their workstation
and now get an error when trying to open this file. If she emails it to
someone, they can open it with 2000, then save it, send it back and then she
can open it with 2003. Is there some type of issue with 2000 docs and Word
2003? Could it be the layout of the brochue or the clipart causing the
issue? Is there a fix for it?

Thanks for all the help!

Have you applied SP-1 to Office 2003?

If not, open Word, go to Help/Check for Updates and install SP-1.

This update corrects many of these "can't open document" issues.

They are only running Word 2003. Everything else is 2000. Will this have
any implications on the 2000 applications? Thanks for your help.

I'm not 100% positive, but I don't think it will affect the 2000 programs.
