Folks: We have tried to connect my new MBA w/Entourage 2008 to my
Exchange Server 2007 ever way imaginable with no success. It keeps
saying unable to connect to server. All the settings seem correct but
just won't connect (my iPhone connects just fine). When manually
creating the account and asking to verify it says wrong setting for
exchange server. We've used webmail.domain.org used
exch2007.domain.org even used http:// in front but to no avail. Even
added /exchange/my email to the end. Nothing works. What are we
missing? Any suggestions most appreciated.

THe iPhone uses a different protocol so it doesn't really say much.
One thing you can try is to open the OWA page in your web browser, copy
the URL and paste it directly for the server in the settings for your
Exchange account in Entourage.
When manually
creating the account and asking to verify it says wrong setting for
exchange server. We've used webmail.domain.org used
exch2007.domain.org even used http:// in front but to no avail. Even

You could have a script on the page preventing Entourage to connect.
That's the case where I work wihthe main OWA server. It uses a
cookie-based authentication that completely screws-up Entourage. We have
to connect to a back-end server on our LAN.

Alternatively, MS just released a beta version of Entourage that uses a
completely different (and far more efficient) approach.
The new beta uses Exchange Web Services (EWS) on Exchange 2007 SR1
rollup 4 (you NEED 2007SR1 and I believe, rollup 4 on both the OWA and
mailbox server).
So if you have that, and are feeling a little adventurous, it could be
worth giving it a try,
