Hello,
Specs: Winxp Sp2, Office 2000 Sp3.
Scenario:
I create a recurring task, assign it a contact, and add any contact notes
(phone calls, etc) within the contact notes. Always adding notes by going
into the task first and then going into the contact.
Something has happened where the notes that I entered into the task contact
no longer show up when I go directly to the contact.
However, if I open the task and reassign the contact then I lose the
information which I had on the task-contact but the contacts are synced
again.
Essentially I have entered all correspondence via the task contact procedure
and am scared I am going to lose all my records. I need to someone how sync
all the info I have within the tasks contacts with my actual contacts.
I have backed up the task folder and imported it into a test folder, all
viable contact information is restored so I do have backup of the
information.
There is only one contact list within my outlook. I have opened all folders
to verify that there isn't a hidden contact folder somewhere and there isn't.
My questions are:
1) Where is the task-contact information stored (if it's not stored in my
current contacts)
2) How do i resync that information with my current contacts (without losing
all the info i've already entered)
3) If I remove the outlook address book and readd it, I will lose all the
information that I currently have in my task-contact, how do I go about
extracting the contact notes from the tasks and importing those into my
current contacts.
