Contacts Missing......

Hello, I have an issue that I need help with. I have upgraded a user
that uses multiple computers to access e mial from Office XP to Office
2003 on his laptop. I installed Office 2003 on the laptop while logged
in as domain administrator. I did not make any changes to the account
or log in as the user. Later the user logged in and opened Outlook 2003
and set it up to use Cached mode and now the user reports that many of
his contacts are missing. In additon the user now says that when he
logs in on a different PC that he does not see all his contacts on any
machine now, he only sees some of them. Is this a known problem, and
what could be done to recover his contacts. Any insight or help in
troubleshooting this would be usefull. We use Exchange 2000 and the
user is setup to use direct Exchange server for mail. Is it possible
that an upgrade to a client could change settings on a server. I do not
believe this to be the case. I am at a loss... Help!
