In Publisher 2003 and below: Use PrimoPDF from www.primopdf.com, or one
of the other PDF creators.

In Publisher 2007: Download and install the "Save As PDF and XPS" add-in
from microsoft.com.

Why couldn't there be a small printer driver from microsoft.com that
would add that simple printer choice option to every other version of pub??

Does Bill want everyone to pay $$ to upgrade to the newest version and
not help previous loyal customers get more value for the bucks he sits on??

In 2007, the functionality is actually hard-coded into the software; the
add-in just activates it (basically to stop Adobe suing their asses).

Adobe were finickity enough when MS tried to incorporate PDF into the
products; a downloadable printer driver would compete directly with
Acrobat (as it wouldn't be restricted to use with Office programs), and
Adobe would go crazy-go-nuts.

An alternative is to download a trial version of acrobat. It would enable
PDF printing from office apps. You could try both and see which PDF has
better quality.
