Hello,
I'm dealing with a newsletter in Publisher format that I'd like in text
form (I do not care about the Publisher special formatting or graphics). The
newsletter will be converted to PDF and made available on a website. I would
like a text alternative.

Just go to File>Save As & select Rich Text Format or Word 97-2003 from the
Save as Type: list. You'll have a fair amount of "cleaning up" to do as
there will be numerous section breaks, etc. depending on how the Pub file is
constructed, but if you only care about the text you should be OK. BTW -
This doesn't change anything about the Pub file itself.
