How do I convert an adobe document into publisher for editing. A co-worker,
who is no longer here, was able to do this.

Any help is appreciated

Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Pro, will convert PDFs to several file types. However, MS
Word is the closest. It will not convert to Publisher even thought the
original file was a Publisher file. Later versions of Adobe Acrobat may
provide more options, but would be surprised if Publisher is one of them.

You can convert PDF into a format that can be edited in Publisher. It
converts PDF into WMF which is the native MS vector format. Once you have the
WMF, you need to "Insert Picture from File" and then double-click to edit it.
A free trial can be found in the Office Marketplace or at www.pdf2picture.com.

It will be very, very difficult, if not next to impossible to do any
serious editing of Pub doc that is artwork and not text.

Here's a link that shows how to edit artwork in Publisher that is converted

That just tells you how to ungroup a WMF to a drawing object. Pretty
sure Mike already knows that.
The "gotcha" can be fonts since the ones used in the file may not
be available on the target system you are editing on. It tries to substitute
if they are not available or you can create font mappings. Give it a try.
It's pretty cool.
