Converting Publisher 97 to Open in Office 2003

I had an old Publisher 97 or 98 on my computer. I then loaded MS Office
Professional 2003. When I try to open my Pub. or even Word files it freezes
up the computer.

Is there a way to get to my Pub files? Or do I have to buy a separate MS
Publisher 2002 & install it? Will it open the old files? All my candy
business & jewelry business files are in Pub. & I can't access them. I need
HELP! FAST! PLEASE!

Do you have Pub 2003? (I'm going to assume you made sure that your computer
would run Office 2003 before you installed it.)

No, I don't have Pub 2003. I was going to buy it & see if it would work. I
assumed Office 2003 would run ok. I didn't think I would have any problems.
I must tell you that I have Multiple Sclerosis & it affects my cognitive
abilities. Not as sharp as I used to be. Actually my old pub may be even 95.
I just don't know.... Is there ANYWAY to get the files open? Thank you for
your help!

Are you SURE you installed Office Professional 2003? Office Professional
2003 DOES include Publisher 2003.
