Converting Publisher Files to PDF Format

When I try to convert Publisher files to PDF format I get a message that says
"The size of the paper you have chosen is too small to show the printer
markings", but when my commercial printing guy takes my same Publisher files
and converts them, it works. What am I doing wrong. I've already talked to
Adobe and they think that my Acrobat Distiller is set up properly. I have
Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard, Windows XP Professional, Publisher 2003 and an
IBM desktop with 260 gigabytes of memory

<sarcasm> 260 gig of memory eh?! WOW!! That must be some computer! And here
am I with my pathetic FX-55 with its (soon to be) 3GB of memory, when all
the time I could have had one with 87 times that. Mind you I could never
afford a supercomputer like that - you must have had to have the motherboard
custom made - no existing board will take that much. I suppose it must be
modelled on Deep Blue - I know IBM have a reputation for building large
computers. You must have some job to be able to afford such a behemoth.

Ignore the asinine comments from "Ms" Rude.

Most of the time you are safe to ignore such warnings, especially when
you know you have the correct paper size selected relative to the page
size.

The page size is the size you set up in Page Setup. This is (or should
be) the final trimmed size of your document. Such as "Letter"

When you print to Distiller or to a file where the result is going to be
put on press, you usually want crop marks and registration marks on the
sheet as well. These must go outside the document size, so you need to
use a larger paper size (selected during the print process) such as
"Letter Extra". SOme printers do not have these pre-made "extra sizes"
so usse a custoom size and add 1" to each dimension....for Letter, add
an inch to both width and height to give 9-1/2 x 12. You may still get
the message but you can ignore it.

Or if you don't need these marks, use the sampe paper size as your
document size and go into the advanced (print) settings and turn them
off.
