Converting Task into milestone

How do I convert an existing task (which has some duration) into milestone ?
marking as milestone does not bring up the milestone symbol ?

The default gantt view should show any task marked as a milestone with the
milestone symbol. Perhaps you have a view which has modified the barstyles.
To check go to format menu, select Barstyles and add a line. Set the "show
for ... tasks" to "milestone" and have it draw from "finish" to "finish".
Then set the symbol you want to display.

Hello Shash,

Normally, you just have to select the box : "Mark task as milestone" in the
Advanced tab of the Task Information dialog.
May be the Milestone symbole has been deleted in the Bar Styles dialog.
Format / Bar styles...
