Converting to microsoft word

Is it possible to convert a publisher 2003 file to
microsoft word 2003 format? I have been able to copy the
text, but have been unsuccessful with transferring the
images.

You don't want to. Almost certainly there is a better way.
Use a program such as Adobe Acrobat or PrimoPDF (www.adobe.com/acrobat and
www.primopdf.com respectively) to convert the file to PDF. Easier, faster,
and gives more satisfactory results. And almost everyone has Adobe
Reader/Acrobat Reader.
