cookies and scripts

Using Pub 2000, internet explorer 6. I have enabled cookies and scripts in my
security settings, safety level is medium. It does not work, cookies and
scripting is not allowed. What do I do now?

D

dunefarm

I cannot activate the cookies and scripts. The security site tells me they
are blocked. When I click on them it say they are allowed. When I try to use
clipart on line, I get: Cookies are blocked!

If you want to use the clipart on the Office site without changing your security
settings do the following:

The Internet zone security levels on your computer must be set to Medium, or if your
Internet zone security levels are set to High, the Microsoft Office Online Web site
must be listed on your computer as a trusted site.
To add the Microsoft Office Online Web site to your list of trusted sites:
On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options, and then click the
Security tab.
Click the Trusted Sites icon, and then click Sites.
Clear the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone check box.
In the Add this Web site to the zone box, type http://office.microsoft.com, and then
click Add.
Click OK twice.

Did you clear the (https:) check off?
I have no idea what prefix the dialog is asking for, did you type the address exactly
as http://office.microsoft.com?

English still school lasts too long in UK yr 10 takes the mickey !!!

GCSE courses take 2 years - go figure.

IMHO compulsory education in the UK does not last long enough - we could
learn a lot from the German system (compulsory education until 18, but that
includes far better apprenticeships and vocational training options than we
have in the UK)

The English education provided by the British education system is of a
ridiculously low standard when it comes to spelling, punctuation and grammar
(IMO the most important aspects of any language).

You shouldn't have an issue with accepting cookies and scripts when you are
creating a website. What steps are you taking?
