Copy a PP file into Word

Jennifer

When I copy a PowerPoint file and paste it into Word, the file pastes all the
words from the slides. I want an icon of the file in the Word document that
can be opened. I do not want a link. How do I prevent the opened version from
being pasted?

This is more of a Word question than a PowerPoint one, but we're also a
rather helpful sort, so here goes.

In Word ...

Select Insert (menu pulldown)
Select Object
Select Create from File (tab)
Check Display as Icon
Browse to the file
Click Ok out of the dialog boxes

Does this work the way you need?
