Copy Main task and all sub indents?

I need to copy a main task and all sub tasks(indented under it) to a
blank new task line. What is the best way to do this? I have version 2003.

Thanks

Hi Tim_Ver,

Select the summary task, copy and paste. The subtasks will be copied as
well.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Tim,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Click the minus sign next to the summary task to close down the sub-tasks.
Now click in the summary task ID cell to select it all. Now click and drag,
hoding dowm the Crtl key to get a copy. You might like to have a look at my

I did try this I select task right click copy and the click on the new blank
task cell and paste but it just paste the text and no minus/plus sign hence
no sub tasks.

:( Arghh , Not sure why or what I am missing.

Hi Tim,

Make sure you select the task by clicking on the row number, not just
the task name.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
