Copying portion of page

Joy

This was discussed a while back, but for some reason, I can only access back
to June. There was some sort of little "camera" icon in Publisher, and I
have used it (to copy only part of a page), but now I cannot find the icon.
How can I restore/find it? (I have MS Office 2003). TIA

Aside from simple copy/paste...I'm
not aware of any component in
Publisher like you are describing.
I would like to know how to use it.

The following excerpt is from Pub
2003 Help:

===
To make a copy of the active window,
press ALT+PRINT SCREEN.

To copy the entire screen as it appears
on your monitor, press PRINT SCREEN.

The freeware Gadwin PrintScreen has
served me well for screenshots but many
users say SnagIt (though not free) is
excellent.

OH! Yes, that's what I was thinking of. Thanks! I did figure out that a
simple highlighting of a portion, then right clicking for Copy and Paste
worked in Publisher. Been a while since I tried to copy anything from
Acrobat Reader in a pdf file, that's why I forgot.

Thanks for the archive URL, John.

As you will see, I was mistaken, and what I had in mind, as Steve pointed
out, is in Acrobat Reader, not in Publisher. I think my confusion was
because pdf files are sometimes discussed in Publisher.

Thanks, Don, this looks quite handy.

You'll see in my other replies, that I was thinking of an icon in Acrobat
Reader, rather than Publisher.

One of the reasons I answer some posts is so that I can see my name in my
