Corrupt File???

M

Mary

I seem to have a word file that I can't do anything with -
can't delete, can't rename, can't copy.....
The filename was created in early 2001 and has a
squiggley in the filename. When I tried to delete the
file, I got an erro message saying the filename is too
long but I can't rename.

Any ideas are much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mary

From the Windows > Start > Run command line enter CHKDSK C: /F
where C: is the drive containing the file. You will probably get a warning
that this will have to run when next you start Windows. Confirm that then
when the DOS windows closes restart Windows. With luck you should now be
able to delete the file using Windows Explorer.
