Cost loaded schedule

My company is a Construction Management/General Contractor. I have created a
cost loaded schedule that has our customer's price (which includes our cost,
fringes, overheads and profit). We are having our subcontractor update his
portion of the schedule but do not want him seeing our final cost to our
customer. How can I share a file with both a subcontractor and our customer
but not allow the subcontractor to see all of the built up cost?

He has access to 100% of the file, there are no exceptions.
Try sending him a PDF of his portion

Hi
As Jim has suggested you may send him a pdf.

Or if you want the sub-contractor to schedule the programme dynamically,
export the required data fields or columns to Excel and send that file to the
sub contractor. Then they can update their schedule through Excel and that
data could be periodically imported to MS Project.

I hope it helps.

Hello bsky201,

If you give the client and your subs the project schedule -- they
can see everything. If you need the others to work with a "live"
copy of the schedule, you'll need to zero out the rates. I would
suggested just replace the cost for all contractors with $1.00 per
hour.

If they don't need a live copy of the schedule, consider creating
PDF files containing the views and reports they require - omitting
the cost information as needed.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
